'Enough is enough' says former Health Secretary Sajid Javid

The former Health Secretary Sajid Javid said walking a “tightrope between loyalty and integrity has become impossible” in recent weeks and months, weathering the storm of Partygate, the Sue Gray report and now the controversy over the appointment of deputy chief whip Chris Pincher.

He said integrity underpinned democracy and now the time had come to say ‘enough is enough’.

Mr Javid also noted that many of his Cabinet colleagues had remained in their posts, saying “not doing something is an active decision”.
