Activity Tracking
by The Center for Better Health and Nutrition/HealthWorks! at Cincinnati Children’s
Chelsey Lambert, Exercise Physiologist: “Activity tracking is a great way to stay motivated to move the body and stay closer to your goals. Use technology, computers, watches and phones. Here are some great tips to help you get started with your tracking devices.”
“Set reminders. Specific time to exercise every day. Try not to sit for more than 60 minutes at a time. Get other family members involved. Set family challenges, and see who can get the most steps in a day.”
“There are different levels of activity, based on how many steps you get in a day. Kids are supposed to get 12,000 steps a day to help keep their bodies healthy. Let me show you this chart.”
“Our bodies are designed to move, so get up and move as much as you can for a healthy weight.”
