Why I Hate Self Help

I hate self help! That’s right. You read it correctly. The phrase “self help” makes me cringe… not because it’s a bad idea in theory, but because of what it typically means in the real world. The BS that gets peddled, the victim mentality it tends to created, the excuses and magic pills… such a shame. Because self-improvement and skill development are two of the greatest things you can do… and that’s what “self help” SHOULD be about.
