Maintaining five healthy habits during adulthood may add more than a decade to life expectancy, according to a new study led by the Harvard Chan School U.S. women and men who follow the healthiest lifestyles reduce their risk of early death from both cardiovascular disease and cancer Here are five healthy habits to follow: Not smoking Keeping a healthy body weight At least 30 minutes or more per day of moderate to vigorous physical activity Moderate alcohol intake And eating a healthy diet Women who maintained all five habits could gain 14 years of life and men could gain 12, compared with those who didn’t maintain healthy habits
